Badbreed releases EP after international record deal
Fast-rising dancehall artiste Badbreed is currently enjoying a career boost via a major record deal with a United States (US) based record label, Guantanamo 51 (G51).
The singjay said he is elated about the current state of his career.
“Every artiste needs a team because this is a tough industry to navigate without a support system, and as such, I am very excited about the prospects of my career knowing that I have a structure that is willing to do everything needed to ensure my career progresses to a higher level,” he said.
Badbreed believes he has what it takes to become a household name locally and internationally.
Following the recent release of his debut EP, Autonomous, the Kingston native said he has been receiving many commendations on his sound and flow from several musical insiders, as well as extensive radio rotation.
“My EP has been well received thus far and that feels good because I put a lot of work into it. At present, my short-term goal is to break into the local mainstream and then cross over to the international market,” Badbreed shared.
Badbreed is currently promoting the first single from the EP, On Me, which was recently featured on Onstage TV. The track is gaining traction across major digital platforms and continues to receive radio play both locally and abroad.
