Passion and Beyond unleashes her potential
Passion and Beyond found her groove on her third start, unleashing an eye-catching performance to easily brush aside the competition in a maiden condition race for native-bred three-year-old fillies at Caymanas Park on Monday, April 6, 2026.
The Anthony Nunes-conditioned bay filly Passion and Beyond dictated the pace from 6 furlongs (1,200m) out in the seven-furlong (1,400m) contest, cruising home by 3 ½ lengths in a time of 1:29.2 (23.2 x 47.0 x 1:15.1).
Stablemate Imaginearium (Anthony Allen) finished in second place with Behave (Richie Shakes) getting up for third place.
Jockey Raddesh Roman, who took the reins aboard Passion and Beyond, was ecstatic about the filly’s performance.
“Well, she is a very beautiful filly and she is still green and so I know she has a lot more room for improvement,” Roman said.
“I had realised that she was searching into the blinkers and I told the trainer and he decided to take my advice. So he took off the blinkers and she won exceptionally well today. She has potential, she is bred to stay, and so we are just hoping for the best,” Roman told the Jamaica Observer’s The Supreme Racing Guide.
