Sky Is The Limit blazes to maiden victory
Sky Is The Limit, trained by Peter-John Parsard and ridden by Raddesh Roman, won her maiden race at Caymanas Park on Monday, April 6, 2026.
The three-year-old chestnut filly, Sky Is The Limit, a daughter of Bern Identity – Ransomware, took the lead shortly after the break and pulled away to win by 4 ¼ lengths in a time of 1:08.4 over 5 ½ furlongs (1,100m).
Parsard said the win was a result of adjustments made to the filly’s equipment, including corked ears and blinkers.
“Well, after her first race we knew that we will have to try something different and so we try the corked ears and the blinkers. It kind of helped her quite a bit,” Parsard told the Jamaica Observer’s The Supreme Racing Guide.
“She was very nervous in her last race, she was nervous when she came back from the race and so it showed that she was a little overwhelmed with the race and I think even though she wasn’t perfect today, I was happy that she showed improvement,” he further said.
Parsard believed Sky Is The Limit has the potential to compete at a high level and is considering her options for future races.
“She will have a little way to go to keep coming on but at least we a positive step on her hands with this race. She has the Classic ability. If she managed to put her act together a little more then maybe.
“I am not sure what’s next for her I will have to go cards and see what they have available. We were just looking to get through this race and so we will see, maybe she will go on the Classic trail or maybe not,” he explained.
