Miss Cookie, Sir Donald, The General take top spots in first quarter of tipsters’ competition
Drama, tension, and nail-biting suspense defined the first quarter of the 2026 Capital Betting and Wagering Limited/Jamaica Observer Tipsters’ Competition, and now the champions are in the clear.
Bernadette Bishope (Miss Cookie), Donald Bahadur (Sir Donald), and Sherdon Cowan (The General) emerged victorious, outmaneuvering their rivals with skill, strategy, and a sprinkle of luck.
Miss Cookie and Sir Donald tied for first place in the Most Wins category, while The General cruised to victory in the Monetary category. Miss Cookie and Sir Donald received $10,000 each with The General netting $20,000 their outstanding performances. The presentation ceremony was held at Escape Bar and Grill in New Kingston on Thursday.
In the Most Wins category, Miss Cookie and Sir Donald accumulated 68 winners to share the top honours. Ruddy Allen (Kool Kat) finished third with 65 winners followed by The General with 64 winners.
The other tipsters were Jason Duncan (Jahson – 59 winners), Mark Collins (Markie – 59 winners), Anthony Allen (Gujuray – 58 winners), Garfield Robinson (Santa – 55 winners), and Kingsley Gentles (The Genius – 51 winners).
In the Monetary category, The General excelled, finishing with $38,562. Gujurat took second place with $23,000, followed by Sir Donald with $22,774 and Kool Kat with $22,000.
As the competition continues, it will be interesting to see how the tipsters go about the second quarter which runs from April to June.
