Popular podcaster Jhaedee “Jaii Frais” Richards is now in hospital under police guard after a shooting incident that left three people injured after carnival festivities on Sunday night at the Ranny Williams Entertainment Centre in St Andrew.

One of the other injured persons was a bystander while the third, who is undergoing surgery, was reportedly apart of an entertainer’s entourage. His condition is considered to be critical.

Police sources said popular producer and manager Jahvel “Jahvy Ambassador” Morrison is also in police custody following the incident.

Reports are that Richards visited the restroom at the event and upon leaving he was attacked by a group of men. At least two firearms were pulled during the incident — a Glock 9mm Pistol which was taken from Morrison who is reported to be a licensed firearm holder and the other firearm which Richards turned over to the police after allegedly disarming one of his attackers.

No charges have yet been laid.
