Take care of yourself
Now is the time of life when taking care of others is waning and you can finally focus on taking care of you. Indulgeyourself regularly (so they become habit, not indulgences at all) with things like massages, facials, bubble baths, long walks, and alone time to read, contemplate, or dance naked around the bedroom (or kitchen, or yard, etc)! Invent your own relaxing rituals and make them a part of every week — if not every day.
Accept yourself
One of the advantages of getting older is coming to terms with your body. Do you remember all the critical things you thought and said about your body when you were 25? Wouldn’t you give your eye teeth for that “flawed” body now? Well, the body you have today is the body you’ll be pining for 10 years from now. SO why not cut out the middle years and just start adoring that body today. Feeling comfortable in your skin is a great gift to give yourself — and the fastest way to feel sexy at any age or any size.
But on the other hand… don’t go thinking you have to dress matronly now. Dull colors, out-of-date styles, neglected tailoring, frayed hems and bad fit are not fit for anyone. Dowdy is never the answer ladies! Always wear something that fits and that makes you feel great.
Wear underwear that’s fun to wear
Just as you don’t want to wear matronly or threadbare outer garments, by the same token you’ll cheer yourself (and any onlookers) immensely by wearing bras and panties that look and feel nice. It doesn’t matter if you’re a cotton floral or a black lace kinda girl, the important thing is to wear good underwear that tells you (and any onlookers) that you’re a special, sexy woman.
Whether it’s kick-boxing, running, gentle yoga or long walks, exercise is key to feeling and looking your best. It’s essential that you habitually participate in some form of physical activity; choose one you enjoy and you’re more likely to stick to it.
Think sexy thoughts
Last but not least, stay in touch (or get in touch) with your sensual side. As you may have heard, the brain is the most important sex organ, so put it to use with reveries and fantasies and other thoughts that make your thighs tingle and your heart race. Remember, age is a number, but sensuality is a way of life: a way of thinking, a way of conducting, expressing, celebrating and loving yourself. With the right attitude, you can strut your stuff at any age!
