Exquisite holiday fashions
Red Bones, the Blues Cafe was the site for the 2nd Annual staging of Exquisite Fashions, a show hosted by Miguel Model, Natalie Parboosing.
Natalie, 1st runner-up in Miss Jamaica Petite Fashion Model competition 1995, told All Woman that she chose to host the show to get her name out there as a choreographer, and that hosting such a show was valuable experience for her. She hosted a tight show that ran like clock-work, and when it was over many thought it too short. This says a lot for her expertise.
Seven models Monique, Tanisha, two Andreas, Allison, Tiffany and host Natalie, wore designs from various local design houses and retail outlets, with hats from Chapeaux and accessories from Beach Comber jewellry.
Designs from Definitions Ltd featured lots of stretch fabrics in denim, mock snake’s skin and animal prints, in suits and separates. Elan for Women had executive wear and formal dresses suitable for New Year’s Eve, Courtney Hill’s Isabella Asaniti Collection drew a lot of praise as his dazzlingly coloured Rayon-Georgette slip and formal dresses as well as wraps and tank tops stole the show.
Go West featured denim casuals from Guess, Nautica and Gant, while Beach Crew featured swim and resort wear and training camp swim, gym and athletic gear.
