Kyu Mélange Designs debuts at CFW 2013

Driven by more than just their ‘passion for fashion’, designers Ozge Turan and Kesi Gibson are determined to carve out a niche for themselves in a highly competitive market. The business partners — Gibson is Jamaican and Turan from Turkey — met at the Wharton Business School at the University of Pennsylvania and started their fashion line in March 2012, aptly named Kyu Melange. Their collection of high quality, hand-made leather bags, cuffs and bow ties were well received last weekend at Caribbean Fashion Week. With the applause now over, the duo have donned their entrepreneurial hats and are ready to do business: “It is great to have big ideas, but it is important to have a drive and to execute,” shares Gibson. We could not have said it better.
