Starving myself to lose weight
Dear Donovan,
I have been experimenting with the China slim tea and it has given me great results. I lost 20 pounds in three months, but I am hardly eating as I fear the weight will come back. I know that starving myself to lose weight is not good. Please suggest healthy but filling meals I can have alongside this tea that will maintain my strength.
Detox teas, for example China slim tea, can be a helpful part of a weight loss programme. These teas can be used to remove stored up faeces and toxins from the bowels. Also, during a diet the food intake is usually reduced and the bowel seems to work a little more slowly. A detox tea can be helpful in keeping the bowel motions regular.
However, it is very important to use these detox teas properly. I am sorry that you did not tell me how you are using this tea. I am aware that some people are taking these detox teas immediately after a meal. This is not good. They should never be taken like that. This would be no different than eating all you want, then using your finger to tickle your throat, and bringing everything up. Using the detox tea right after a meal can result in weight loss, but this can also make you sick and malnourished.
The best time to take the detox tea is at night, about three to four hours after eating your last meal. It is also very important not to make the tea too strong. This could produce diarrhoea, which is not good. Also, it is important not to depend on the detox tea to get a bowel motion.
In my view, detox teas should not be used on a long-term, continuous basis. To get the best weight loss results, a lifestyle programme should be followed. This should include a healthy diet as well as exercise. The major factor for weight loss is that the food or calorie intake should be restricted so that the body is forced to use up the reserve fat.
However, it would be wise to choose healthy foods to strengthen your body. In order to lose more weight you will have to reduce your current calorie intake and possibly increase your exercise, or start exercising. In terms of your diet, I’m also not sure what you are presently eating. However, eating more fruits, soups, salads, whole grains, vegetables and vegetable juices will be helpful with your programme.
A very important point to note is that your weight programme, in terms of your diet and exercise, will need continuous adjustments over time. This is why in most cases it is helpful to consult a weight loss professional. In terms of your detox tea , I would suggest that you take a break from it periodically to allow your bowels to function properly on their own.
Good luck!
