Do you need designer laser vaginoplasty?
WE live in a world where image and appearance hold sway. On making someone’s acquaintance, the first things we notice are that person’s physical attributes. Someone who is well dressed, attractive and outgoing will arouse more interest than their opposite when they enter a room. Most of us believe in the “inner beauty” and the true personality of a person, but until that is ascertained through conversation and interaction, outward appearance is the strongest selling point. It’s sad, but that is the reality.
Plastic/cosmetic surgery is a very old medical procedure which was actually practised by the ancient Greeks and Romans. Techniques have improved significantly over the centuries, and many people who feel the need to enhance their outward appearance have resorted to plastic surgery. Prospective patients usually show their physicians pictures of how they aspire to look – whether it is a nose job (rhinoplasty), breast augmentation or reduction, tummy tuck, Brazilian butt lift, liposuction, calf transplant – just about any body part can be modified to a patient’s wishes, and the need for this is growing globally.
But what about those physical attributes that usually remain hidden? These include the external genitalia (vagina, labia, mons pubis, perineum). Most women tend to shy away from any need for modification to the external genitalia, but at times some modification may be necessary to relieve underlying problems. The topic is no longer taboo, and women need to be aware of their options.
Designer laser vaginoplasty refers to the aesthetic enhancement of the vulvar structures with the use of a laser. Just as mentioned above, women can carry pictures to their physicians of how they want their genitalia to look.
The most common surgery is laser labial reduction. At times some women may suffer from pendulous labia minora (the inner lips of the vagina are very long and floppy). Not only can this be embarrassing for them while wearing tight clothing at the gym, but it can impinge on their daily activities such as exercising and sexual activity. The excess labia can also lead to sex being more painful.
The surgery is done on an outpatient basis and is usually conducted under general anaesthesia. It involves using a laser to precisely remove the excess tissue evenly. Sutures are then used to close the area. Within six weeks the area is healed and is not only aesthetically pleasing but functional as well.
You can feel as good on the inside as you do on the outside with designer laser vaginoplasty. If you believe you are suffering from this complaint, contact your laser certified gynaecologist.
