Why you shouldn’t befriend your guy on Facebook
In today’s world of social media, one of the first things couples do when boarding the new relationship train is to quickly become Facebook friends. But is this really a good idea?
Yes, there are a few advantages to it – you become acquainted with the person’s personality based on what is shared, and you can see how the person interacts online with other people. But there are some situations where it can become a burden, when merging a dating relationship and Facebook does not have a happy ending, as the ladies below share.
Mysha:
I met this guy and right after he got my number, instantly I saw a Facebook request. At first, mi nah lie, I thought it was weird, but I added him. Then I realised that he started to comment on all my pictures – and I had over 300 pictures – and he would ensure that he added hearts, and was telling everyone that I was his wife. I thought to myself, I just met you so you must be on crack.
Lauren:
I think it is a bad idea to be friends on Facebook with your man. Believe me, everything I posted was a huge issue for him. I was really annoyed to the point where I unfriended him
Jen:
I tried it and at first it was cute until I realiaed that I was the only one tagging him in my photos and that started a feud between us because I wondered what he was hiding. I did my research and BOOM, he was having an affair. I think Facebook is a great investigative tool, but a serious relationship breaker.
CD:
I tried it and it caused a break-up. Ladies, avoid this mistake!
