Sister Christian goes mate seeking
Waiting for a good man who matches all the attributes on your list can be as burdensome as the task of Sisyphus in the real world, not to mention adding a religious component to the puzzle, when you’re forced to find one in the church, a task comparable to finding a needle in a haystack.
And if you are insistent that you will not be one of the people the Bible says aren’t destined to marry, your search will begin early, then pick up speed once your biological clock starts ticking.
And then you may ask the question, is being equally yoked as important as just finding a partner to balance out your differences? Can the Christian and the sinner meet somewhere in the middle? Should a Christian woman look outside the church for a partner when there’s not a holy beau in her sight?
Keisha:
Absolutely, yes! I see no difference first of all in men whether they are in church or not. I just want a man and I want to be happy. Besides, I know of a lot of women who are married to men in the church and they regret that they did because the men are worse than the unsaved.
Camille:
I am sorry but I cannot overlook the Word. I am a Christian so I think God knew what He was saying when He said we shouldn’t be unequally yoked. I am not about to mess with the Word. Whatever it says, it is just that for me.
DS:
Ladies, there is no difference between the men in the world and those in the church. They all lie and cheat and honestly speaking, I think it is even worse for the men in the church because they should know better.
Rushell:
God must have had a reason why He said that Christians should not hook up with sinners. I see a string of problems when you do. I think it is best for a Christian woman to stick to her kind for her spiritual development which is the most important aspect of life itself.
Rose:
I think men are men and should be judged on what they bring to the table. If he is unsaved, my influence should be positive to get him to salvation. I do not scorn or judge those not in the church. I help them get there.
