The waiting game
So you have met someone who is the cheese to your patty, the white to your rice, the butter to your bread, and you’re sure your love life is about to come out of the doldrums. But you don’t want to rush things; you want to do everything right, and that involves waiting an ‘acceptable’ time before hopping into the sack, so your love interest will think that you’re a true lady, and all that jazz.
But is there really a waiting period that’s so important to him? Does the ‘she’s easy’ theory still apply to modern-day relationships? We asked men to spill.
Randy:
For me it doesn’t matter. If the feelings are strong and I have protection, it’s going to happen. I hear of women holding out for months, even up to a year, and the man still quits as soon as he beds her. I say once the feeling is right, enjoy yourself.
Charlton:
If a woman gives in too quickly, mi a go pree her a certain way still. My personal woman must know to hold her own and let me do the work. If I’m looking for a sex buddy, then my perspective would be different.
Reg:
I don’t think it matters because men will wait and chase, and after they make their play, they still leave the women. I’d advise women that anything can happen, so keep in mind that you holding out on a man will not make him stay once you decide to give in.
Jerome:
I met this woman at a party the other day and I realise that nowadays women don’t play. I brought her home with me because she was drunk, and when she sobered up she was very insistent on getting some loving. But I’m not that type of guy. I have to know you first, so I told her no, just chill and let’s get to know each other. She gave me a fine cursing out. I thought she would appreciate that I respected her, but no, not these modern women.
Roger:
I think the women should allow the men to respect them. Make a man work for it. He will value you more.
