Eight Saints Take Paree!
To say Saint International models had a successful stint at Paris Fashion Week (PFW) would be an understatement. There were approximately 35 runway appearances and numerous editorial representations. #GirlPower proved to be a Parisian thing for eight Saint International models who cemented their names in fashion history having walked for the Fall/Winter 2019 collections of over 15 designers during PFW 2019. The “Saint Eight” – models Naki Depass, Christine Willis, Aurelie Giraud, Tami Williams, Barbra-Lee Grant, Christina Knight, Shanniel Williams, and Haytal Blackwood — elicited patriotic pride walking for designers such as Rahul Mishra, Y/Project, Balmain, Tommy Hilfiger, Comme des Garçons, Issey Miyake and Rochas, among others.
Four of them hit their stride on the Andrew Gn runway for the designer’s Fall 2019 collection on Friday, March 1. Shanniel Williams opened the show, followed by Naki Depass, Christina Knight, and Aurelie Giraud, all rocking a total of 11 looks from the collection.
Two days later, Saint International stablemates Jannel Duncan and the Nigerian newcomer Aworo Mayowa made a historic turn on the Balenciaga runways along with four of their Saint male counterparts Jahavane Oconnor, Kimali Morgan, Val Haughton, and Omario Matherson, recording six sightings for the agency, all booked exclusively by Saint International CEO Deiwght Peters.
At DROMe, Aurelie Giraud sashayed in an ecru ensemble then a teal leather suit: cropped double-breasted jacket and matching pants and heels, while Depass and Williams wore metallic and print-blocking florals, respectively. All Woman Fashion hails the successes of these women.
