Cotton Candy by Jazeene Henney
Interior decorator Jazeene Henney has been furnishing fabulous spaces for years. Now she has added children’s fashion designer to her repertoire.
When Henney, who also has experience as a personal stylist, grew tired of shopping overseas for her daughter’s clothing she decided to fashion them herself. “I could not find a lot of wearable brands here in Jamaica for her; the only option was to buy online or shop overseas,” Henney told All Woman Fashion (AWF).
Enter: Cotton Candy, an organic, handmade kids’ apparel line with simple and whimsical designs. Henney’s collection ‘Beach Bae’ debuted at the Island Child Style 2019 SMS edition on October 5, 2019. The collection featured easy-to-wear pieces made from cotton and linen ideal for children living in warm Caribbean climates.
A busy mom herself, Henney knows the struggle involved in clothing a growing child and says she used knots and drawstrings as closures so simple adjustments can be made as growth spurts occur. Cotton Candy clothing is easy to wash and iron, making it perfect for moms with busy schedules.
Cotton Candy by Jazeene Henney will be at the Grosvenor Craft Fair December 7-8. Customers can contact Henney by e-mailing cottoncandykidswear@gmail.com or by following her on Instagram.com/cottoncandykids4life
