Baked sweet potato puréeIngredients
2 small sweet potatoes
4 scoops powdered formula or 4 oz breastmilk
4 oz water (if using formula)
Method
1. Bake the sweet potatoes until a fork inserted comes out clean.
2. Cut the potatoes in half and remove the sweet potato filling from
the skin. Place in a food processor or blender and add the milk.
3. Puree for about 45 seconds and serve.
*Note: The more milk you add the thinner the consistency will be.
This recipe can make two dinner servings.
Cheesy white yam and veggie puréeIngredients
2 slices white yam, cooked
2 tablespoons of your favourite cheese
4 oz breast milk or formula
2 broccoli florets or one medium carrot
Method
1. Drain and remove the yam from the cooking pot and place in food
processor or blender
2. Add cheese and milk and purée until it reaches the consistency
baby likes
3. Add veggies and continue puréeing
*Note: You can use whatever vegetable is in season for this meal.
This recipe can make two dinner servings.
Pumpkin potato fish puréeIngredients
1 slice pumpkin
1 Irish potato
2 tablespoons flaked fish of choice
Method
1. Cook ground provisions until soft
2. Cook fish to taste (you can lightly introduce spices like thyme,
garlic and basil for taste) and then flake
3. Purée the yam
and fish together
to the consistency
you like, adding the
gravy from the fish
at intervals.
*Note: You can
substitute fish for
chicken in this
dish. This recipe
can make two
to three dinner
servings.
