As those not so fortunate enough to call the Caribbean home bundle up for winter, Rock residents are in a sunny, festive wardobe-planning mode. Fashion designer Devarine McLean also known as FashionEnira, with an uncanny eye for comfy, stylish, leisurewear and impeccable timing, has debuted the Thai Collection.
Nearly four months in the making, the collection – named after one of the countries on McLean’s travel bucket list – is a flag-waving fusion of fun, flamboyance and functionality.
Island Ting, an ode to the country that McLean says made her a champ, is a printed maxi dress in black, green and gold. Simply put, it is layers and layers of fab! The designer told All Woman Fashion (AWF), “That Island Ting was specially created for Jamaican women living overseas who “stan” for the patriotic colours.
The collection features dresses, as well as skirt and pants sets in animal prints and tropical hues. The best part? Each piece is made with tropical climates in mind, using a blend of lightweight fabrics like cotton and challis. Add bronze straw accessories to further up the style ante.
