Scotiabank launches Advisory pillar of the Scotiabank Women Initiative
Scotiabank launched the Advisory pillar of the Scotiabank Women Initiative (SWI) over two days (July 12-13) with a workshop on corporate governance hosted by consultant Julie Thompson-James at the AC Mariott Hotel.
Through the third and final pillar of the initiative, the bank aims to continue breaking down barriers and increasing economic and professional opportunities for women to be successful. Going forward, the bank will be hosting a series of workshops and other interventions aimed at helping business owners to identify governance gaps and determine practical solutions, hone leadership and influence capabilities, and manage board relations.
