Observer vision board workshop sparks dreams!

KESI GARDNER, Observer writer

The Jamaica Observer’s All Woman Vision Board Workshop went down at AC Hotel Kingston on Sunday, February 4, and it turned out to be the ultimate hangout for ambitious babes to vibe, dream, and make their visions a reality.

Imagine this: Dope props on every table, sparking deep thoughts.

“What’s your vibe word for 2024?” “What’s that dream you’ve always had?”

Enter Norma Williams, the game-changer in personal branding and motivation, setting the stage on fire.

She rewrote the vision board game. Forget the basics, Norma recommended snatching snaps from old mags, printing quirky quotes, or grabbing visuals from the social app Pinterest.

Break it down: Vibes in the middle, career goals on the right, and a chill-out vibe on the left.

Hold up, and there’s more. Norma dropped a morning routine bomb: Give thanks before anything else, even before reaching for your phone. And the grand finale? Take tangible steps after the vision board sesh to make those dreams happen.

A few of the squad members got together to spill the tea on their vision boards:

Celena Taylor, event planner: Her board screams Santorini’s dreams! She’s blowing up her events biz with investments in the mix and vibing in a mansion lifestyle. She is also planning her dream wedding with a jaw-dropping Champagne mermaid dress.

Shanique Ellington, vegan glam boss of Le Champ Cosmetics: Love is Shanique’s central theme, with her vision board as a map for making the world her playground. Dreaming of a sleek minimalist home and a vacation spot and she’s big on a happy family vibe.

Justine Isaacs, media star and happiness advocate: Her vision includes leading the way in media and entertainment, stacking up wealth, while enjoying every bit of the journey. Self-love, tight friendships, and family love are the key ingredients to her fabulous life.

Danielle Rookwood, TikTok star on a journey of self-discovery: With a whopping 34,000 followers on TikTok, her 20-something journey has being a lawyer in the future. A happy relationship in the centre, with God, of course. There’s also catching flights to destinations like Universal Studios and Mexico.

Tanya Perkins, sporty marketing maven: It’s all about work-life balance; ready to let her hair down, spend time building close relationships, making intelligent investments, embracing a French Bulldog companion for her and her “Ken”, and giving her home a fresh vibe with some fab renovations.

Jade Macintosh, med student and TikTok sensation: Balancing med school with discipline and consistency, hitting the gym, finding strength in prayer, all present on her board

Debbian Ann Spence-Minott, marketing manager for Seprod: Picture exotic trips to places like the Northern Lights in Ireland and Saskatchewan, the Canadian province. She sees her kids thriving in the college of their choice. Oh, and her team at Seprod is crushing their goals for 2024 — dream realised.

The vision board party was more than just vibes. You can’t miss the next one!
