Unstable weather expected across Jamaica beginning Tuesday
Jamaicans are being advised to brace for unstable weather conditions beginning Tuesday.
According to the Meteorological Service of Jamaica, a broad Trough is expected to develop across Jamaica and the western Caribbean on Tuesday and will produce a large area of disorganised showers and thunderstorms across the region.
Consequently, the Met Office said, unstable weather conditions are expected across the island beginning Tuesday afternoon.
The forecast is for a gradual increase in cloudiness followed by intermittent showers and thunderstorms, which may be heavy at times, to affect most parishes through Saturday.
Sea conditions will also deteriorate in the vicinity of showers and thunderstorms. Fishers and other marine interests, especially inshore and offshore the south coast, should therefore exercise caution, the Met Office said.
The Meteorological Service said it will continue to monitor this system and update accordingly.
