Enrique Iglesias’ Bailando featuring Sean Paul is platinum in Germany

The Spanglish version of Bailando by Latin heartthrob Enrique Iglesias featuring Sean Paul, Gente De Zona and Descemer Bueno, was certified platinum in Germany late last month.

The certification, included in the monthly report issued by the Bundesverband Musikindustrie (Federal Music Industry Association), or simply BVMI, which represents the music industry in Germany, commemorates sales and streaming equivalent to 600,000 units.

Bailando, released in 2014, is included on Enrique’s Sex and Love album, which was released by Republic Records.

The song was a commercial success on multiple Billboard charts including the Hot 100, Hot Latin Songs and Latin Airplay. It also made charts in Mexico, Czech Republic, Austria, Brazil, Belgium, Dominican Republic, France, Finland, Israel, Poland, Russia and Romania.

It previously received multiple certifications including 4x platinum in the United States, platinum in the United Kingdom and 8x platinum in Spain.

Among the song’s accolades are two Latin Grammy Awards, an ASCAP Award and six Billboard Latin Music Awards.
