Flippa Moggela and Chronic Law release collaboration
KINGSTON, Jamaica-Dancehall star Flippa Moggela, otherwise known as Flippa Mafia, has teamed up with dancehall lyrical machine Chronic Law to release a collaboration entitled Like this.
The single, which is quickly becoming a staple on local and international radio, showcases both artistes in a reflective mood as they lament their struggles with envious people.
According to Flippa Moggela, the topic is universal and as such, he knows this song can become another classic.
“Anything me sing bout haffi real and that is why my fans are so loyal because they know I don’t cap. This song reflects a universal challenge, which is overcoming badmind people and the traps they set. Lawboss represented well on the track as well suh overall it is a very good project and one I expect to do very well,” stated Flippa Moggela.
The collaboration is featured on the Mix Feelings riddim, which also features the likes of Jahmiel, Nhance and Tishaine.
The project is produced by Flip Money Records and VX Records. When quizzed as to why he opted to release his own juggling, Flippa outlined his desire to give back to the culture.
“Me grow up a listen juggling suh yuh know it’s a part of our dancehall culture. I am keen on preserving the rich legacy those before me set suh me haffi voice other artistes once dem mek sense. Also, as a businessman, it makes sense to produce your own music, ” stated Flippa Moggela.
According to Flippa Moggela dancehall star Popcaan was the one who initiated the collaboration between himself and Chronic Law.
“Well Popcaan made the connection with Law boss for me as he was supposed to perform at my Evolution concert but because it was too close to BRT he didn’t get to come but we keep the connection and it work out perfect it’s like he know everything about my life and I really appreciate the strength,” stated Flippa Moggela.
