Police seize firearm and ammo in Highgate

ST MARY, Jamaica — Police seized one firearm along with one round of ammunition in Highgate, St Mary, on Sunday, January 18.

Reports are that about 2:35 am, a police team on operation in the area conducted a search in the vicinity of a bar. The search yielded one silver and green homemade handgun along with one round of ammunition, which was found concealed behind a light post.

No one was arrested in connection with the seizure.

The investigation is ongoing.
