A Katchie Xmas for Razor B
RAZOR B is declaring the entertainment space a “Katchie Christmas” following the release of the video for Katchie, featuring Macka Diamond.
Katchie, produced by DJ Tropical for his Channel 17 Record label, was recently released.
“This is the first Christmas season after a heavy season of lockdown due to COVID, and I think people need to be back outside coupling up and dancing together since we no longer need to be six feet apart. Katchie is the perfect dancehall example of this and fans are loving it. It’s a Katchie Christmas!” said Razor B.
The artiste sees the track as needed to show the world that dancehall music can be fun and entertaining without being violent or promoting illegal acts or criminality.
“Dancehall has so many faces because it depicts different lifestyles, and I’m never gonna be one to tell any artiste not to sing about this or that because it’s their own art they are channelling. As for Razor B though, I’m always gonna sing for the ladies, to the ladies, and with the ladies — because that’s what I know and love!” he said.
Razor B, whose given name is Roger Castle, is a past student of St Jago High School in St Catherine. Since bursting on the scene in 2015 fans have enjoyed hits such as Hot Up, Up In Deh, Pepper Sauce, and Bruk Back.
He is billed to perform at the ‘Blue Print’ concert in Fairy Hill, Portland, on December 30.
