USAIN Bolt, retired Olympian-cum-producer, released his fifth album, Usain Bolt Presents: 9.58 Riddim, today.

Produced on the sprinter’s A-Team Lifestyle label, the set features six songs.

Bolt explained the thinking behind the set’s name.

“It was just the energy the riddim gave me. It has the tempo and vibes, so the idea just came to me to name it after my 100m record,” said Bolt.

An eight-time Olympic gold medallist, Bolt is the only sprinter to win Olympic 100m and 200m titles at three consecutive Olympics (2008, 2012, and 2016). He also won two 4×100 relay gold medals. He gained worldwide fame for his double sprint victory in world record times at the 2008 Beijing Olympics, which made him the first person to hold both records since fully automatic time became mandatory.

In 2009, he won the 100m in 9.58 seconds which still stands as a world record today.

Usain Bolt Presents: 9.58 Riddim features Touch The Sky (Vybz Kartel), Money Fast (Chronic Law), Different (IWaata), Levels (Quada), Own Don (Ajji), and Who Wi (Topmann).

For the project, Bolt said he selected artistes whom he had worked with in the past as well as some who reached out to him.

Despite this being his fifth album, Bolt said he is constantly learning.

“I just want to continue to grow as a producer in the business… I’m learning each day,” he continued.

The album Usain Bolt Present: 9.58 Riddim is distributed by audio and video distribution company Marvment, with all songs being available on iTunes, Apple Music, Spotify, Amazon Music, Deezer, Tidal and a host of other streaming platforms.

His other four albums are Usain Bolt Presents: Olympe Rosé, Usain Bolt Presents: Immortal Riddim, Usain Bolt Presents: Clockwork Riddim, and Country Yutes.

Country Yutes debuted at number one on the USA iTunes Reggae Albums chart in September 2021.
