Easy does it for emerging singer Jourdon
WHILE attending high school, singer Jourdon had aspirations of becoming a medical doctor. However, that changed when he was bitten by the music bug.
The Manchester-born artiste says he draws most of his musical inspiration from the music of the 1990s.
“There’s something special about the music that was created in the 1990s. You feel a different kind of energy when you listen to artistes from that era. Shaggy, Sean Paul, Maxwell, Donnel Jones, Shania Twain, and Craig David are some of my favourite artistes from that era,” said Jourdan.
Jourdon is currently promoting Easy, which he says was inspired by his personal experience.
“The musical journey has not been easy due to the lack of traction to my music, because its not controversial. What I am bringing to the table is individuality and unpredictability,” he said.
Jourdon, whose given name is Joel Jordan Reid, was born and raised in Mandeville. He’s a graduate of May Day High School.
Last year, Jourdan released an EP titled Hypnotized. It is a co-production between JayEDGE of JAW Records. The three-song set features production from the likes of Alann Ulises and Chris Selfe.
