EleganceGad shot and killed
EMERGING deejay EleganceGad was shot and killed at Russell Place Meadows, Mandeville in Manchester in the early hours of Wednesday, July 27.
A female was also shot and injured in the incident.
According to police report, about 2:40 am EleganceGad (whose given is Orlando Smith) and the woman were at an establishment when they were pounced upon by two armed men, who opened gunfire at them. Smith, who sustained several gunshots wounds, was pronounced dead at hospital. The female victim was also admitted for treatment.
The Manchester Criminal Investigations Branch of the Jamaica Constabulary Force is conducting a probe into the incident.
A St Elizabeth-based entertainer, EleganceGad is known for several songs, including Mick Jagger, Levels Now, Time Is Money (Chop Chop), Just Life, Insanity, and Bipolar.
