Fox understands The Assignment
Music producer Gregory “Fox” Lindo of Starzplus Music has been receiving favourable reviews for his latest project The Assignment, a rhythm which features some of dancehall’s most popular acts.
“The feedback has been amazing. All the artistes did good on the rhythm,” he told the Jamaica Observer.
“This project is about bringing back authentic dancehall; we worked with some talented artistes, so we’re not focusing on just a bunch of hype,” the Montego Bay native added.
The project features acts such as Chronic Law, Jahvillani, Ikaya, Prohgres, Lusion, Shane O, Tazar, Ryme Minista and TeeBone.
It was officially released on June 24.
“The objective with this project is to put out good music, the type that dancehall fans want to hear. The roll-out for the project has been gaining some traction; the track by Chronic Law Live Large was released on June 13 and is already setting the tone for what’s to come with the other tracks,” he added.
Lindo has been involved in the music business since 2007 and has worked with some notable acts, producing projects still circling the dancehall sphere. One of the biggest projects to come from the Starzplus Music label is the Black Heart rhythm, which was released in 2015 and featured major acts including Bounty Killer, Teejay and Sizzla.
Next on the producer’s agenda is a summer song for the artiste Teejay.
