Slik RRhymez releases 6-track EP
Slik 4our Music Group music producer Slik RRhymez is certain that his most recent production — a six-track EP by entertainer Knass — will be a hit among female listeners.
“I know this project will be a success and the audience will stream it well. This is a great body of work in which I myself am impressed, as I can hear the growth in the artistry as well as the production value. Listening to the EP surprises even me, and I am the one who mixed and mastered the project,” the producer, Rick Willie, told the Jamaica Observer.
Released on July 28, the project was titled Kama Sutra.
With the two working together consistently since 2016, the synergy for this project was seamless and has led to an impressive body of work where the production style and artistry complement each other.
“So far, everyone I have played the EP for loves it, especially the core fan base who has been growing with the artiste over the years. At a recent listening party the single Ruff from the project was played over 10 times, so I think that just might turn out to be the leading single for the EP. I hope that this project gets to the ears of audiences on a wide and mass scale,” he added.
Starting out as a recording artiste in 2012, Silk RRhymez quickly fell in love with making beats and music production, which led to his venture into the producer seat. He has been producing and releasing music professionally since 2015.
“Over the years my creative process has evolved and is still evolving as I learn and apply new tips and techniques every other day. Just being a music nerd and a sponge soaking up new information about music and music production helps my creative process; I keep it simple, as less is more,” the producer highlighted.
Prior to Kama Sutra the producer worked with up-and-coming artiste Nevaramo on the single Gaan, which has been gaining steady traction since its release.
More collaborations are to be released soon, along with many other highly anticipated projects.
“What’s next is staying consistent and true to the creative process. I have several songs in the famous vault, some slated for release, others need finalising either creatively or business-wise. I also upload a lot of my own beats to my YouTube channel Slik RRhymez Beatstore, which many artistes download and use to release their music, remaining true to the process of always creating music in every capacity. A lot is coming up in the pipeline, so the place might flood out,” the producer revealed.
