35 new COVID-19 cases, no deaths reported
KINGSTON, Jamaica – The Ministry of Health and Wellness reported 35 new COVID-19 cases and no deaths on Tuesday, August 30, bringing the infection total to 149,798.
The new cases comprise 19 females and 16 males, with ages ranging from 1 year to 98 years.
The cases were recorded in Kingston and St Andrew (15), St Catherine (five), Clarendon (four), St Elizabeth (three), Manchester (two), St.Ann (two), Westmoreland (two), St James (one) and St Thomas (one).
There were 97 recoveries in the last 24 hours, bringing the total to 96,611.
Currently, 130 people are hospitalised, 26 of whom are moderately ill, eight severely ill and six in critical condition.
Jamaica’s positivity rate for the latest round of testing is 11.7 per cent.
