Chetwood and Catherine Hall win again in U-13
MONTEGO BAY, St James – Former winners Chetwood Primary, and Catherine Hall, both scored 3-0 wins over Pinnacle Academy and Dumfries Primary respectively on Thursday at Corinaldi Avenue Primary and extended their winning starts in the St James Football Association Under-13 competition.
Chetwood Primary took over the lead in Zone B on six points, while Catherine Hall Primary joined Corinaldi Avenue Primary on six points in Zone D.
Meanwhile, defending champions Granville Primary will be seeking their first win of the season on Friday but will face Lethe All-Age, who will be going after their second win of the season, when action continues at Corinaldi Avenue.
Granville lost to Flankers Primary in their opening game while Lethe had beaten Maldon Primary in their first game.
In the second game, Buckingham Primary, who will play their first game, will take on Anchovy who had lost their opening game and both will be hoping to get their first points of the campaign.
On Thursday, Michael Fogah scored twice for Chetwood who led 1-0 at halftime.
Fogah gave Chetwood an early lead, scoring in the second minute and Warren Young made it 2-0 early in the second half before Fogah completed his brace in the 42nd minute.
All three Catherine Hall goals came in the second half.
Jaheim Rose finally unlocked the Dumfries defence with a goal in the 34th minute; Mario Simms added a second four minutes later and Ronaldino Bryan added a third in the 49th minute, all scoring in back-to-back games.
