Construction worker charged in connection with Pavillion Jewellers robbery
KINGSTON, Jamaica – One of four males allegedly linked to the robbery at Pavillion Jewellers on May 10, has been charged.
He is 31-year-old Neko Gordon, a construction worker of Bethune Avenue, Kingston 13. Gordon has been slapped with charges of robbery with aggravation, conspiracy to commit robbery and possession of a prohibited weapon.
Reports are that about 10:11 am, Gordon along with three men, all armed, entered the store and held up the victims, robbing them of $619,000 as well as assorted jewellery valued at more than $4 million.

A Glock 9mm pistol along with two magazines containing 34 rounds of 9mm cartridges and other personal items were also reported stolen.

Police say the assailants then ran from the premises and robbed two motorists of their motor vehicles which they used to make their escape.
Gordon was arrested on Monday, May 22 at the Norman Manley International Airport while attempting to leave the island. At the time of his arrest, he was found in possession of a stolen chain and a Citizen wrist watch.
