ISSA Boys’ national basketball champs to be decided today
KINGSTON, Jamaica— The ISSA Boys’ national basketball champions will be decided on Friday after the finals of the Under-16 and Under-19 sections get underway at the National Stadium in Kingston.
Four games will be played today as the third-place playoffs will also be contested. The first game is set to start at noon.
Herbert Morrison Technical from Montego Bay, St James will be seeking their second Under-19 title when they take on St Catherine High in the 4:30 pm game, while the unbeaten St George’s College and Campion College will clash for the Under-16 final at 3:00 pm.
Kingston College and Manchester High will play in the first game of the Under-16 consolation followed by Jamaica College and Campion College in the Under-19 third-place game.
In the semi-finals on Wednesday, Herbert Morrison turned back Jamaica College 53-49 in one Under-19 game while St Catherine High beat Campion 60-35.
In the Under-16 games, St George’s College edged Kingston College 53-51 and Campion rolled over Manchester High 58-38.
