Jamaica’s Trivante Stewart joins Italian club Salernitana
KINGSTON, Jamaica— Trivante Stewart has joined Italian football club Salernitana, the club announced on Instagram Tuesday.
The Mount Pleasant centre forward is reportedly already in Salerno, Italy and is awaiting the completion of his medical, which is set for Wednesday.
In his Jamaica Premier League career, 23-year-old Stewart has scored 30 goals in 66 games.
He is one of two international players who has signed to Salernitana. Stewart will join 20-year-old midfielder Mateusz Legowski, who spent time in the Valencia youth academy and is now playing for Pogon Szczecin.
