‘Nash Shotta’ charged after allegedly shooting man during argument
KINGSTON, Jamaica – A 21-year-old Kingston man was charged with wounding with intent, possession of a prohibited weapon and unauthorised possession of ammunition following an incident on Victoria Avenue, Kingston on Thursday, March 2.
Charged is Shadene Nash otherwise called ‘Nash Shotta’ a farmer of Cloverly Road, Kingston.
Reports are that about 12:30 pm, Nash and a man were engaged in a conversation when an argument developed between them. During the altercation, Nash allegedly left and returned with a firearm and then he opened fire, hitting the man. Nash then escaped in the area.
A report was made to the police and the man was assisted to the hospital where he was admitted for treatment. An investigation was launched and Nash was arrested on Friday, March 31. He was formally charged on Thursday, after he was questioned in the presence of his attorney.
His court date has not been finalised.
