PM Holness leaves country for 10 days
KINGSTON, Jamaica – Prime Minister Andrew Holness, on Wednesday evening, left the island for visits to the United States and the United Kingdom.
Throughout his journey, the Prime Minister will visit Boston, Massachusetts, in the United States, to participate in a conference at the invitation of Harvard University, attend the funeral service of Queen Elizabeth II in the United Kingdom, and attend the 77th United Nations General Assembly in New York, USA.
Holness will return to the island on Saturday, September 24, a statement from the Office of the Prime Minister (OPM) stated.
His activities overseas will be communicated using the established and customary channels, the OPM statement added.
In Holness’ absence, Dr Horace Chang, Deputy Prime Minister, and Minister of National Security will lead the Government.
