Riverton pig farmer charged with shooting with intent

KINGSTON, Jamaica — A St Andrew pig farmer has been charged with nine counts of shooting with intent. He is 36-year-old Aldino Forkes of Gaylad Circle, Cooreville Gardens in Kingston 20.

According to the Hunts Bay Police, lawmen were on patrol in Riverton on September 4, when several explosions were heard. Upon investigating, Forkes was seen with a firearm in his hand. Upon spotting the police, Forkes reportedly opened fire at the team. He was pursued, accosted and a Kimber .45 pistol taken from him.

He was charged following a question-and-answer session with his attorney.
