KINGSTON, Jamaica — A trough across Jamaica and the western Caribbean has been producing unstable weather conditions and is expected to remain across the region throughout the weekend.
The Meteorological Service of Jamaica in its 5:00 am bulletin on Friday said as a result of the system, Jamaicans should expect cloudy conditions with periods of showers and thunderstorms to continue across the island throughout Friday into the weekend.
Starting Saturday, cloudy conditions with periods of showers and thunderstorms are expected especially across southern parishes. Sunday into Monday, afternoon showers and thunderstorms are anticipated mainly across central and eastern parishes.
A tropical wave is currently lingering across the southeastern Caribbean while Tropical Depression Two is located 460 kilometres west of Fort Myers, Florida.
The 2023 Hurricane season began on Thursday, June 1.
