St Catherine labourer charged with shop breaking, larceny

ST CATHERINE, Jamaica - Twenty-five-year-old Cashan Saunders, a labourer of Pearl Harbour in St Catherine has been arrested and charged following an incident on Sharper Lane, Old Harbour in the parish on Tuesday, September 27.

Reports from the Old Harbour police are that about 2:45 am, the owner of a shop was awoken by dogs barking. She alerted the police and Saunders was found inside the shop stealing over $300,000 worth of items including liquor, cigarettes and toiletries.

He was taken into custody where an interview was conducted and he was subsequently charged with shop breaking and larceny.

His court date is not yet finalised.
