St Thomas fisherman shot in face, dies
ST THOMAS, Jamaica – Forty-six-year-old Ijah Thomas, otherwise called ‘Ister’, a fisherman and farmer of Bob Marley Beach in St Thomas was shot dead by unknown assailants in his community on Monday, September 12.
Reports from the Yallahs Police are that at about 4:30 pm, residents heard explosions coming from a shop on the beach and called them. Upon the arrival of the lawmen, Thomas was seen slumped on a chair with what appeared to be gunshot wounds to his face.
He was taken to the hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
As investigation in the killing continues, the police said.
