US celebs expected to descend on second city for Montego Bay Weekend

ST JAMES, Jamaica – American NFL, NBA athletes, artistes, models, and influencers are expected to converge in Jamaica’s second city this weekend for the Montego Bay Weekend party series.

The event is a collaborative venture between LV Group 704 and Selective Group, and they have outlined a three-party series for the weekend as well as other attractions over the period.

The series will start on Friday, July 7 with an evening kick-off party at Elevate Lounge & Nightclub hosted by American social media influencer/reality TV star India Love. The series picks up on Saturday with an afternoon Beach Bash at Tropical Bliss Beach Club hosted by American model Bernice Burgos, followed by an afterparty at Elevate Lounge & Nightclub.

LV Group 704 representative and Co-owner of Elevate Lounge & Nightclub Louis VonRippon Jr stated the event was conceptualised with the intention of growing the brand and adding a boost to tourism in the resort city.

“Montego Bay Weekend is a joint venture with Molo of Selective Group and we decided to do a destination experience for international tourists. Our special guests will include A-List American athletes, artistes, models, DJs, and influencers,” the Charlotte, North Carolina-based VonRippon Jr said.

“The goal is to make this an annual event attracting visitors and boosting the economy for Montego Bay. We’re looking to provide an increase in bookings for resorts and villas and pumping up revenues for local businesses. The primary goal is to continue the push in making Montego Bay a prominent attraction for influential international tourists that have never visited the island,” VonRippon Jr explained.

The weekend has a mix of local and international DJs set to entertain over the three parties. International acts include DJs Stevo, Lyve and Trap while DJs Crazy Neil and Big Deal will represent Jamaica on the roster.

Organisers are advising that for further information and pre-sold tickets visit mobaywknd.com or Instagram handle @mobaywknd.
