WIPA expresses condolences at passing of Raphick Jumadeen
KINGSTON, JAMAICA – The West Indies Players’ Association (WIPA) has expressed condolences to the family, friends and colleagues of former Trinidad and Tobago and West Indies cricketer Raphick Jumadeen.
Jumadeen passed away on Tuesday, July 25, 2023, at the age of 75.
Jumadeen, a left-arm spinner, played for Trinidad and Tobago between 1967 and 1981, and for the West Indies between 1972 and 1979. He was later a selector for the Trinidad and Tobago Cricket Board and the then West Indies Cricket Board, now Cricket West Indies.
WIPA president and chief executive officer, Wavell Hinds, said, “Condolences to Mr Jumadeen’s family, friends, colleagues and the cricket fraternity. We wish them strength and peace at this time. May his soul rest in peace.”
