#WorldChamps: Jamaica’s Goule misses medal finish in 800M Final
EUGENE, Oregon – Natoya Goule finished fifth in the final of the women’s 800 metres at the Hayward Field in Eugene, Oregon.
Goule, who has made several 800 metres world championships finals for Jamaica, ran a season’s best time of 1:57.90 to cross the line in fifth position. She is yet to claim a medal in the event at a world championship.
Meanwhile, the race was won by Tokyo Olympic champion, Athing Mu of the United States, in a world leading time of 1:56.30 seconds, while Keely Hodgkinson of Great Britain (1.56.38) and Kenya’s Mary Moraa captured the silver and bronze medal respectively.
