President of the Kingston Club of Soroptimist International Jamaica, Sonia Black (left) presents the 2022 Stella Gregory Award for Excellence to founder and managing director of the advertising and public relations firm PROComm, and founder and executive chair of the Caribbean Community of Retired Persons, Jean Lowrie-Chin.

The club presents the award annually to an outstanding woman who has excelled in her chosen field and has contributed to national development.

Lowrie-Chin was recognised for her outstanding leadership in the field of public relations and communications management, her pioneering work as an advocate for senior citizens, as well as for her philanthropy and volunteerism.

The 2022 award was presented during the club’s 60th anniversary charter luncheon and Stella Gregory award ceremony, held recently at the Jamaica Pegasus hotel.

Looking on is Robert Gregory, son of founder of the Soroptimist Club in Jamaica, Stella Gregory, in whose honour the award was established.
