One left standing
Only one house was left standing at Clifton in the Greater Bernard Lodge development area Thursday after after all others around it were demolished by agents of the State.
Houses on the Government-owned property were illegally constructed after squatters moved in on the land. Prime Minister Andrew Holness, who approved the demolition, said members of criminal gangs were among those illegally occupying the land.
It could not be immediately ascertained why the building was not demolished as the property is scheduled for formal development.
