Sandals Dunn’s River hosts Air Canada Vacations 2023 GEM Awards

ST ANN, Jamaica — The strong partnership between Sandals Resorts and Air Canada Vacations was on full display once again when Sandals Dunn’s River in Ocho Rios recently hosted an elite group of team members from Canada’s leading tour operator, September 25–28.

The annual GEM Awards recognise Air Canada Vacations employees across various departments including sales, marketing, operations and more — as voted on by their own peers and colleagues to be “best in class”. The internal employee awards represent the pinnacle of excellence at Air Canada Vacations.

Eight lucky winners and a guest enjoyed three nights at the all-new Sandals Dunn’s River to experience Sandals’ and Jamaica’s newest luxury all-inclusive resort. The trip culminated with an awards ceremony that was attended by senior executives from both companies including Sandals Dunn’s River General Manager Deryk Meany; executive vice-president, sales & industry relations at Unique Vacations Inc (affiliate of worldwide representatives of Sandals Resorts) Gary C Sadler; and Nino Montagnese, vice-president, Air Canada Vacations.

Meany expressed his delight at hosting such a prestigious function, underscoring the strong partnership between Sandals and Air Canada Vacations, and said he looked forward to a strengthening of the bonds between both companies.
