EXECUTIVE chairman of Supreme Ventures Racing and Entertainment Limited (SVREL) Solomon Sharpe has announced that top American horseracing announcer Andy Serling will be presenting in Jamaica for the prestigious Mouttet Mile scheduled for this Saturday at Caymanas Park.

The Mouttet Mile, a highlight on the Jamaican racing calendar, is renowned for attracting premier talent and creating a thrilling atmosphere at Caymanas Park. Sharpe expressed his excitement about the addition of the American horseracing announcer to the event, emphasising the significance of this guest appearance.

“This is massive for us because Andy Serling is one of the biggest horseracing presenters in America. He is on television with Fox and Nyra and has a podcast that reaches out to millions and handicaps in horseracing. He is very excited to come here, and he is almost treating this trip as a working vacation,” said Sharpe.

“We promised that we would do all possible to export and expose Jamaica’s racing, and this is a big win for horseracing in Jamaica in our hundred plus years of history and Caymanas Park with its 64 plus years of history,” he added. “It really does not get any better than this, and we just continue to work hard with Caymanas Park and take it to the next level.”

Serling, who will be presenting on Fox network as well as Nyra network on Saturday at Caymanas Park, will lead a three-man team to Jamaica, including Robert Klatt and Eldon Phillips, on Mouttet Mile race day. He will provide his expertise, insight, and analysis of horses to help horseracing enthusiasts make informed picks for each race.

“He will be working closely with our announcer Michael Cain, and he is going to be the anchor for Fox to take the information to New York and back to the millions of viewers in North America,” Sharpe said.

The Mouttet Mile, boasting a substantial purse of US$150,000, is expected to draw a large crowd of racing enthusiasts and is known for featuring top-quality thoroughbred races. The addition of an accomplished American announcer is expected to enhance the overall experience for attendees, providing a unique perspective and contributing to the festive atmosphere of the event.
