Frenchmen Blocko
The promise of KES The Band live in concert was the only thing that could lure the throng of Frenchmen Blocko fêters from Hope Gardens on Carnival Thursday. Touted as Jamaica’s only Carnival street dance, the party that started over 20 years ago in Jack’s Hill, continued on April 13 with hundreds causing a scene outdoors.
With deejays Private Ryan and Aaron Fingal from Trinidad on the wheels of steel, Blocko was the perfect way to kick off the non-stop bacchanal of Carnival weekend.
