Kintyre Holdings acquires Kulcha Rum
KINGSTON, Jamaica — Kintyre Holdings (JA) has acquired Kulcha Rum, including the full commercial operations, trademarks and product portfolio associated with the brand, the company announced Wednesday.
Kulcha Rum is currently distilled under contract at a facility located on Pechon Street in downtown Kingston, and is distributed nationally through Miracle Corporation, with additional distributors to be appointed as part of the brand’s growth strategy, Kintyre Holdings stated in a press release.
According to the company, the acquisition was completed through the purchase of the business from Richard Lee, owner of Miracle Corporation, and Peter Bovell, a Jamaican entrepreneur.
Kulcha Rum will now operate under Kintyre Holdings’ newly established Spirits Division, supporting the company’s broader expansion into the Jamaican rum and spirits industry, the release stated.
Kulcha Rum’s product offerings include White Rum, Gold Rum, and a cannabis-inspired flavour variant developed using herbal flavour notes and fully compliant with Jamaican regulatory requirements.
Kintyre also noted that the acquisition comes amid a record-breaking nine-month financial performance for the period ended September 30, 2025, and forms part of the company’s ongoing merger and acquisition initiatives.
Further updates will be provided as the parties plan a press conference around the acquisition, at which additional details will be discussed, the release stated.
