Pat’s Corporate Glam

As veteran make-up artist Patricia Adolphus puts it, soft glam make-up is “effortless and smooth,” basically, a more polished but natural you. Sign us up!

The happy medium between ‘no-make-up make-up’ and full glam has been quite popular lately, especially among corporate women.

And Adolphus, resident MUA to the ladies at VM Group, has been loving it. The mobile creative, whose résumé boasts names like entertainers Nadine Sutherland, Agent Sasco, and Pamputtae, as well as Minister of Foreign Affairs and Foreign Trade of Jamaica Kamina Johnson Smith, and EU Ambassador to Jamaica Marianne Van Steen has been blurring and blending to create soft glam looks that wow.

Her trick? Take everything you’d do for a full glam look, and reduce it by half. So, half the amount foundation and concealer, half the usual eye make-up, subtle blush, and less bronzer. The most important takeaway while watching Adolphus work? Blend, blend, blend.

Her technique, which involves diffusing product with disposable make-up wedges, created a flawless beat on one of her loyalist: Natasha Reid.
